Long, Theodore W

Theodore William Long was born on February 28, 1907 to Mr. William and Dora Nevada Parsons Long who lived in Oxford, Pennsylvania. His father was a farmer, and died a few years before World War II. Theodore was one of seven children.

After schooling, Theodore worked at Paramount Nursery in Jennersville.

Theodore entered the Army and after basic training was shipped overseas to the European Theater.

Private First Class Theodore William Long was Killed In Action on August 7, 1943 in Sicily. He was buried in a local military cemetery. Theodore was returned to his home country for burial and  on June 11, 1949 was interned in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.

Harvey's oldest brother, William died of wounds received in World War I.
