Ingles, William A

William A. Ingals was born on March 14, 1911 to Mrs. Adam Hagar and Roderick Ingles, who lived in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. William later moved to Downingtown with his grandmother, Sarah Clark. 

William worked at Miller’s Paper Mill and the Midvale Steel Company.

William married Catherine Hall.

William entered service in the Army on September 6, 1943. He received basic training in Mississippi and was sent overseas shortly before Christmas, 1943.

Private first class William A. Ingles was killed in action on March 1, 1945 in Germany. He was survived by his wife, Catherine, a brother, Roderick, (who also served) and four sisters.
