Levan Irving Conner was born on December 16, 1924 to Helen Conner who lived in West Grove, Pennsylvania. Levan was the second oldest of five children.
Levan gradated form the Kennett High School in 1942. He a was member of the Landenburg Church.
Levan entered the Army Air Forces on March 8, 1943. In Fort Harlingen, Texas, on the very last day of instruction at aerial gunnery school, he was mortally wounded by a stray bullet.
Private Levan Irving Conner died non-battle on June 6, 1943. Funeral services were held on June 11, 1943. A second service was held at the Landenburg Methodist Church the following Saturday. Military honors were presented by the William Fahey Post No# 491 American Legion.
