Emanuel John Uher was born on January 21, 1914 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was one of four children. The family had emigrated from Czechoslovakia.
Emmanuel attended Malvern Prep School for grammar school.
Emanuel entered service in the Army on April 1, 1941 and died non battle.
